College faculty, staff, and students, along with special guests, welcomed Dr. Joseph DiPiro as the guest speaker for the 2024 Kenneth L. Waters Lecture, held November 14th at the College.  Dr. DiPiro, Professor Emeritus of Virginia Commonwealth University and former faculty member at the UGA College of Pharmacy (1981-2005), addressed “Reflections on the Future of Our Profession: Education and Practice.”

The Kenneth L. Waters Lecture commemorates Dean Emeritus Kenneth L. Waters, who served as Dean of the UGA College of Pharmacy from 1948 until his retirement in 1977. Through his visionary leadership, the College earned a national reputation for excellence in its academic programs.

Adding to this memorable occasion were Jody Wilson Warner and John Wilson, the niece and nephew of Dean Waters, whose presence added a deeply personal connection to this meaningful tradition.
