Flynn Warren, Former Faculty Member
The College of Pharmacy family was saddened to learn of the passing of Flynn Warren, a long-time faculty member and alumnus, who passed away August 1st at the age of 84.
Warren graduated from the College of Pharmacy in 1970 with a master’s degree in pharmacy and went on to serve as a faculty member for more than 33 years. At the time of his retirement in 2007, Warren was a Clinical Professor and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs.  Among his other professional roles, he served as the head of Pharmacy Services at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 1977-1985.  He was elected president of the Georgia Pharmacy Association in 2003 and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Pharmacy Foundation. He was a recipient of the College’s Distinguished Service Award in 2004.
In lieu of flowers, donations still may be made in Warren’s memory to the College of Pharmacy Student Emergency Fund.  A memorial mass was held August 16 in Decatur.  Read the complete obituary.
