Homecoming 2025 A Rousing Success!

Not only did the Dawgs clobber the Kentucky Wildcats in a matchup between the hedges at Sanford Stadium ((35-14) during UGA’s Homecoming Game on October 4, but more than 250 PharmDawgs celebrated at a Homecoming Tailgate that won’t soon be forgotten.

Highlights of the morning’s festivities included a visit and photo opps with Uga XI, aka Boom; a delicious brunch buffet; live musical entertainment by the UGA Alumni Redcoat Band; merch sales by six of the College’s student organizations; interactive games and activities; and a rousing “Calling of the Dawgs,” led by Dean Kelly Smith. The greatest treat, however, was connections made with old friends and new among the alumni, faculty, staff, and students who attended.

Remarked Dr. Andre Mackey, a 1988 alumnus, past president of the College’s Alumni Board, a UGA mentor, and a retired CVS pharmacist, “Returning to my alma mater each year for Homecoming is always a highlight. I love reconnecting with fellow classmates, and I always enjoy meeting new students. Their enthusiasm assures me that our pharmacy profession is in good hands and will continue to thrive.”
