Dr. Branan Tapped for UGA Women’s Leadership Fellows

Dr. Trisha Branan, Clinical Professor and Assistant Department Head for Professional Education in Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy, is a member of the UGA Women’s Leadership Fellows Program this academic year. This prestigious program allows participants to enhance their leadership skills and better understand the challenges and opportunities facing research universities. Throughout the year, fellows engage with key administrators to discuss the UGA organization and functions of higher education, as well as current issues and challenges. Each session provides an opportunity for fellows to interact, share insights, and explore approaches to problem-solving in higher education administration.

Dr. Branan has an abundance of other accolades, including UGA Creative Teaching Award (2017), UGA College of Pharmacy Teacher of the Year (2020), American College of Clinical Pharmacy Critical Care Practice and Research Network Education Award (2020), Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists President (2019-2020), Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists Pharmacist of the Year (2022), Fellow American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM) (2023- Present), and others.

The College of Pharmacy has other faculty members who have participated in previous Women’s Leadership Fellows Program. Past fellows include Drs. Lindsey Welch, Deborah Elder, Eileen Kennedy, Vivia Hill-Silcott, and Susan Fagan (retired).
